Sioux Falls NEEDS a new arena

After the Summit League came to Sioux Falls one thing was a negative and that was the Arena, though the arena houses some of the best ran minor league teams it will be tuff for a D-I basketball conference to host there basketball tournament there. So what should Sioux Falls do? Should they do what Rapid City is doing and build a small arena that is part of the same complex? If it was up to me I would build a 12,000 seat multi purpose arena on the West side of town build around it so there is proper parking and access routs 2 and from the arena. 12,000 would allow for the city to hot events like this and to be prepared for the growth of Sioux Falls... If Sioux Falls keeps growing I see it quite possible that the Storm could become an AFL team if they decide to expand. Also I would like to invite everybody to Czech Days in Tabor, South Dakota ( June 14,15,16) Thursday it starts with the Tabor Legion playing against Chadron Nebraska then Freeman vs. Chadron and then the Tabor Bluebirds vs. Freeman Black Sox with fireworks to follow. The carnival will also start thursday night. There will be other activities in town on Friday and Saturday... If anybody has questions email me at josephjvoigt@st.bhsu.edu ...Hope to see you all there

first of all lets keep the responses in english rodrigo and your shirt blog was interesting.

On Craig and Bob they were discussing again how Sioux Falls needs to do something with the Arena I think the main thing is the fact that it is working right now they are still geting State Tournaments, the minor league teams that call in home all do extremly well in there and there is the feeling that a new arena would be a waste. Right now I understand that view but honestly you cold spend 100 million on a state of the arch arena and if managed well would put 100 times that back into the community in the next 35 years. Construction cost continue to go up, other South Dakota cities are looking into arena's if Sioux Falls doesn't do something they are going to start to loose out on things.
